Role Overview

Aagamya Foundation is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and proactive individual to lead our new Community Center. This role demands a self-starter who can take initiative, lead by example, and make a significant impact on the lives of children and the broader community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a supportive, engaging, and productive environment, developing and coordinating a variety of educational and recreational programs, and actively engaging with community members to identify and address their needs. This position offers the opportunity to influence positive change and foster a sense of community through well-planned activities and workshops tailored for both children and adults.

Key Responsibilities

Management and Operations:

– Oversee daily operations of the Community Center, ensuring it is a welcoming and productive space for children and community members.
– Manage the physical and digital library spaces, ensuring they are well-maintained, stocked, and accessible.

Program Development and Implementation:

– Develop and coordinate various educational and recreational programs, such as study support sessions, dance classes, drawing classes, vocational training, and English-speaking classes.
– Plan and execute activities for students of Aagamya Foundation and neighboring schools, as well as for adults in the community.
– Conduct community visits to assess needs and create relevant sessions or workshops based on those needs.

Student and Community Engagement:

– Create a supportive environment for students who need extra academic support or lack a conducive study space at home.– Foster a sense of community by organizing events and activities that engage both children and adults.

Resource Management:

– Manage resources, including books, educational materials, and digital tools, ensuring they are effectively used and maintained.– Coordinate with volunteers and staff to support the smooth running of the Community Center.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

– Track attendance and participation in various programs and activities.
– Collect feedback from participants to continually improve the services offered at the Community Center.

Needs Analysis and Project Design:

– Conduct regular needs analysis to understand the requirements of the community and tailor programs accordingly.
– Design and implement community center projects that address the identified needs and enhance community engagement.

Staff Leadership:

– Lead and manage staff members at the Community Center, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in any field.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience working in education or community programs, with some leadership or administrative experiences.
– Strong understanding of educational leadership principles and best practices.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in English and Hindi languages, with additional regional language proficiency preferred.
– Ability to manage day-to-day operations, including staff management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
– Demonstrated track record of implementing innovative teaching methods and practices.
– Experience leading professional development workshops or seminars.
– Ability to adapt to changing environments and embrace innovation in education.
– Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
– An entrepreneurial mindset – eager to design and create systems and processes towards outcomes.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and leadership within our educational programs. Key Responsibilities

Lead Classroom Instruction:
– Deliver high-quality instruction and model best practices across various subjects or grade levels.
– Create environments that exemplify innovative teaching methods, inspiring other teachers to aspire to excellence in their own classrooms.

Lead by Example:
– Demonstrate expertise in implementing best practices in education, including project-based learning, inquiry-based approaches, and the integration of technology into classroom instruction.

Instructional Leadership:
– Support the professional development of educators by providing mentoring, coaching, and feedback on instructional practices.
– Conduct regular observations and feedback sessions to ensure the continuous growth and improvement of the teaching team.

Foster a Positive and Inclusive Learning Environment:
– Create nurturing and inclusive learning environments that promote social-emotional growth, critical thinking skills, and a love for learning among students.
– Encourage creativity, exploration, and inquiry-based learning experiences.

Collaborate with the Educational Leadership Team:
– Work closely with the educational leadership team to design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula and instructional strategies that align with the mission and values of Aagamya Foundation.

Collaborate with Community Stakeholders:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with families, local organizations, and educational partners to support the holistic development of students.
– Engage in collaborative projects and initiatives that benefit the wider community.

Other Responsibilities
– Ensure compliance with local educational policies and regulations and maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant data.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in any field.
– Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years working in instructional leadership and curriculum development in a classroom setting.
– Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
– Proficiency in English and Hindi languages, with additional regional language proficiency preferred.
– Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience mentoring and coaching educators.
– Ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and student populations.
– Experience collaborating with community stakeholders and organizations.
– Proficiency in G Suite tools and other educational technology platforms.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education.
– Additional certifications or training in instructional leadership, curriculum development, or educational technology.
– Experience teaching across multiple subjects or grade levels.
– Knowledge of local educational policies and regulations.
– Experience leading professional development workshops or seminars.
– Track record of implementing innovative teaching methods and practices.
